SigmaTel Drivers & Blogs Posts…Are You Getting What You Need?

I’ve written six or seven blog entries about Windows Vista and the SigmaTel Audio drivers for Windows. The last four have been strictly about SigmaTel drivers, the solutions and links to the major manufacturers. In reading my stats about who is reading what on my blog I’ve been really perplexed about the numbers in regards to the SigmaTel drivers. Here is how the numbers break down:

Posts for 30 days ending 2007-04-02 (Summarized)

Title – Views
  1. SigmaTel Drivers & Vista – 4,218
  2. SigmaTel Drivers & Vista Part II – 3,030
  3. SigmaTel Drivers and PC Manufacturers – 2,164
  4. SigmaTel Drivers & Vista Update 3 – 1,810

The number one blog post is the first I wrote after upgrading to the Vista RC1 build and it is linked highly on on the Windows Live search and Google’s blog search engines, so I understand it’s position on the list. In that first post and the others I have added updates in bold to the top of each entry giving a quick update and link to the newest of entries. With that said I am at a loss for the almost half difference between 1 and 3 on the list. The number 3 on this list is a post that I wrote linking the newest updates of the SigmaTel drivers from the biggest manufacturers of computers and motherboards. Why would someone skip a post that they can get the latest drivers, to read the original post that doesn’t give much help at all except for some comments from others?

Parts II, III & IV all contain much better information, more detailed information and much better user comments about the SigmaTel Drivers. Users want a solution, but they are not reading everything that they could to get what they need. It’s right there in front of them, but they are missing it.

  • What is the problem?
  • Is there a solution?
